Jennie Mack is the co-founder and Managing Director of Asia Wine Service and Education Centre (AWSEC®), with head office based in Hong Kong and offices around Asia. She holds a Diploma from the UK’s WSET, for whom she runs HK’s only centre offering courses up to and including Diploma level. AWSEC is the first institute in Asia to win the “WSET Educator of the Year” award out of 500 providers in 62 countries. AWSEC also won “Programme Provider of the Year” with the Wine Scholar Guild.

Apart from delivering courses at AWSEC, Jennie also conducts wine presentations at numerous wine fairs like Vinexpo, HK International Wine & Spirits Fairs and Hofex for various governments such as Wines of Spain, Chateauneuf-du-Pape & Tavel, Greek Wine Tour and Australia. Jennie acts as a representative wine presenter for Wines of Chile and Wines of Portugal, conducting seminars in Hong Kong and China. Jennie was one of the speakers in the Winefuture Hong Kong, featuring international wine personalities like Robert Parker Jr., Jancis Robinson MW, Steven Spurrier, and 40 more from all over the world. This global wine summit was held in Hong Kong in 2011.

 

Jennie is a wine judge at wine and sommelier competitions, participated in the Berlin Tasting and forms tasting panels for publications. Jennie is often featured as a guest wine expert on TV and radio programmes and in numerous magazines and newspapers. Jennie’s career revolved around training and education, from music to corporate training and etiquette training as she enjoys interacting with people and sharing experiences. With her love of food, wine and travel, Jennie has been involved in wine education in Hong Kong and around Asia for 20 years, and as well as private individuals attending our regular classes, Jennie has trained the staff of a number of wine producers and distributors, restaurants and hotels all over Asia.
